COVID-19 VACCINATION DRIVE

Kheth’Impilo is looking for suitably qualified Professional Nurses to support the SA Government with its strategy on the Covid-19 Vaccination roll-out implementation.
Our Vaccinator will be required to do vaccinations at the multiple vaccination sites including pop-up sites within the community. This position requires the Professional Nurse to be flexible, demonstrate aseptic technique and review patient consent forms to determine eligibility of patient to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. This position may require the Professional Nurse to travel to different sites as needed.



Requirements:

•Tertiary degree/diploma in nursing registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Professional Nurse
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Clinical environment or related field.
•Computer literate and experience in health systems databases, incl EVDS is advantageous.
•Experience with Health Promotion Strategies
•Knowledge of Primary Health Care
•SANC Governing regulations
•Must be bi-lingual in English & Afrikaans
•Must be able to self-manage and have good time management skills.
•Completed vaccination training with valid certification will be advantageous.
•Must be a local resident of the local district(preferably)
•Valid Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle to use for work purposes

Key responsibilities:

•Administer COVID-19 vaccinations and provide first aid treatment when required.
•Assist with the Set-up of Mobile vaccination clincs if required
•Maintain records and vaccine administration, capture and update patient information onto EVDS.
•Taking the lead and show initiative in the community outreach programmes
•Self-motivated, able to work well in a team; organized and meticulous
•Knowledge and understanding of Covid-19 health protocols and ensuring compliance and adherence DOH procedures
•Travel within the allocated districts to KI, COVID-19 vaccination sites and/or DOH facilities if or when required
•Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communication styles, to ensure patients are fully informed
•Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to
•Communicate any challenges or successes timeously
•Prioritise, organise and manage own workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality
•Account for organisation provided equipment and ensure its proper use.
•Adhere to legitimate instructions of the supervisor or manager of KI
