COVID-19 DEMAND CREATION

Kheth’Impilo is looking for suitably qualified Health Promotion Practitioners to provide public education and awarness to increase knowledge, beliefs in safety and efficacy, and reduce hesitancy to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.The HPP will be required to increase demand for vaccinated among the target audience and increase the uptake of COVID-19 vaccines by ensuring that parents, caregivers, communites and stakeholders actively seek out vaccines on time, trust the safety and efficacy of vaccines within the District and Metro.



Requirements:

•Minimum Grade 12 Certificate with 4 years experience as a Health Promoter
Or
•A Tertiary Qualification in Health Promotion with atleast 6 months experience working in the field.
•MS Office is advantageous.
•MS Access & Report writing will be an added advantage
•Good oral communication and written communication skills
•Must be bi-lingual in English & Afrikaans
•Ability to communicate and establish a rapport with different Stake Holders
•Able to work independently or as part of a team.
•Must be able to self-manage and have good time management skills.
•Must be a local resident of the local district(preferably)
•Valid drivers’ license and own vehicle essential

Key responsibilities:

•Coordinated communication and consistent messaging
•Trust building through partnerships with communities and stakeholders
•Work with stakeholders to create demand for Vaccination among the different age groups and population.
•Develop demand creation plan/strategies in collaboration with the Vaccination team.
•Develop communication materials and messages to promote vaccination.
•Create a supportive environment for Vaccination.
•Plan and coordinate health promotion programs for community groups
•Communicate any challenges or successes timeously
•Strengthen community participation and action for vaccination.
•Increase access to vaccination services.
•Train, orientate and educate on the benefits of vaccination
•Use the different mass communication media to disseminate vaccination messages.
•Flexible to travel within districts
•Adhere to legitimate instructions of the supervisor or manager of KI
