COVID-19 Demand Creation

Kheth’Impilo is looking for suitably qualified Community Mobilizers to be part of the Covid-19 vaccination team. The Community Mobilizer(CM) will form part of a multidisciplinary team that will address vaccine hesitancy in our communities. Daily duties will include assisting with setting up of mobile outreaches, registering clients on EVDS and capturing data on database as specified. The encumbent may be required to drive the team to the allocated vaccination outeaches.


Requirements:

•Minimum: Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
•MS Office Certification or 2 years Data Capturing/Admin experience.
•Experience working in a community programme or Covid-19 programme advantageous .
•Knowledge and experience in case management and community data collection, filing & reporting tools within a clinic, medical centre or community setting.
•Must have worked on health system databases; REDCAP, EVDS, TIER.net etc
•Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills
•Must be bi-lingual in English & Afrikaans
•Ability to communicate and establish a rapport with different Stake Holders
•Able to work in a team environment.
•Must be able to self-manage and have good time management skills.
•Must be a local resident of the local district(preferably)
•Valid drivers’license (essential).

Key responsibilities:

•To provide health promotion and education to communities.
•Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communication styles, to ensure patients are fully informed.
•To undertake preventative activities assisting to reduce the spread of Covid-19
•Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry.
•Check source documents for accuracy.
•Obtain further information for incomplete documents.
•Communicate any challenges or successes timeously
•Travel to dedicated KI and/or DOH facilities if or when required.
•To undertake preventative activities assisting to reduce the spread of Covid-19
•Assist with the Set-up of Mobile vaccination clinic if required.
•Adhere to legitimate instructions of the supervisor or manager of KI
