Well established consulting engineering company with over 40 years in the industry is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their company. They are a leading multi-disciplinary engineering firm who has clients in Africa, Middle East and Asia. Core Purpose of the Job
To assist the Senior Engineers in carrying out the full spectrum of the relevant MEP design under supervision of the Senior Engineers and to develop into a Senior Building Services Technician in the desired MEP field.

Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Tasks
•Assist Senior Engineers and Directors with technical reports, research and investigations as required.
•Assist Senior Engineers and Directors in the preparation of concept and design reports and documents.
•Register with ECSA and maintain candidate technician status.
•Continual learning and development on the road to registering as a Professional Engineering with ECSA.
Role Dependencies
•Draughting Personnel
•Internal the company disciplines for quality coordination of MEP services.
Discretionary Space - Independent Thought and Judgement
The degree to which individuals are allowed to exercise independent thought and judgement)
•Allow project strategy and objectives as set by Client and Senior Engineer to guide decision making processes.
•Alert Management or colleagues to issues and risks in any project or the business itself.
Duties will comprise of:
General
•Design calculations and modelling using specialist software.
•Assisting the Senior Engineers and Directors with the compilation of feasibility studies and reports.
•Basic and detailed of the specialist discipline systems, including but not limited to:
•Assisting the Senior Engineers and Directors in detailed design as required.
•Assisting with internal coordination between the various disciplines and drawing office technicians.
•Project Management of activities.
•Financial management of discipline in a project.
Due Diligence Reports
•Site investigation with reference to specific MEP Building Services competency.
•Evaluation of the condition of specialist discipline equipment in a building.
•Comparison of systems with all regulations and requirements.
•Producing reports in the agreed standard format.
•Assist with producing cost estimates.
Concept Design
•Assist with preparing preliminary design concepts and reports.
•Assist with providing cost estimates.
•Assist with providing preliminary design drawings.
Detail Design
•Assist with detailed design of specific discipline systems.
•Assist with compilation of detail design report.
•Assist with providing cost estimates.
•Assist with providing detail design drawings.
•Assist with compilation of specifications and tender documentation.
•Compile bill of quantities
Tendering
•Assist with tender adjudication.
Administration / Internal Management
•Plan your work every day and week.
•Complete work within agreed times and adhere to priorities.
•Plan your leave in conjunction with project engineers and project managers.
•Adhere to internal procedures and systems.
•Fill in time sheets on a regular basis, using the system as provided by the company.
