Uber Driver — Cape Town (Immediate start) - Cape Town

Full‑Time Driver Needed — R1,250 / week (Cape Town)

We’re hiring temporary full‑time drivers to operate a company vehicle on the service providers platform in the Cape Town area.

Pay: R2,500 per fortnight (paid fortnightly)(2 weeks).
Hours: Full‑time daytime shifts (typically 8–10 hours/day, 5 days/week).
Start: Immediate.

Vehicle provided — you drive, we manage rental and vehicle maintenance.
What we offer

Guaranteed fortnightly pay: R2,500/ 2 weeks.

Company vehicle supplied (fuel arrangement explained at interview).

Full‑time role with potential for repeat/extended contracts for reliable drivers.

Support for service providers account setup and basic onboarding.

Key responsibilities

Drive safely and professionally on the service providers platform.
Keep the vehicle clean and report any damage or mechanical issues immediately.
Follow all traffic laws and Indrive rules.
Maintain good customer service and high ratings.
Complete daily vehicle checks and log trips as required.

Minimum requirements

Valid South African driver’s licence (Code B or as required).
Professional Driving Permit (PDP) if required for e‑hailing work in your category.
Clean driving record; no recent serious traffic convictions.
Smartphone capable of running the service providers app.
Right to work in South Africa and able to pass a background check.

Important terms

Contract: This is a term contract engagement; duration and renewal at company discretion.
Probation: First 2 weeks are probationary; continued engagement depends on performance and vehicle care.
Vehicle care & fines: Driver is responsible for safe use of the vehicle. Traffic fines are the driver’s responsibility unless company instructions caused the issue. Damage due to negligence may be deducted from final pay or recovered by agreement.
Insurance & accident procedure: Company holds insurance; driver must report incidents immediately and follow company accident procedures. Deliberate or reckless behaviour voids company support and may lead to termination.
Background & checks: Employment is conditional on satisfactory ID, licence, and background checks.
Termination: Company may terminate the engagement for poor performance, repeated low ratings, vehicle misuse, or breach of terms.
Confidentiality & conduct: Driver must not share company account details, vehicle keys, or confidential information. Misuse of the Indrive account or fraudulent activity will result in immediate termination and possible legal action.
Payment: Fortnightly pay is fixed at R2,500 and paid on agreed payday. Fuel and incidental arrangements will be clarified at interview and recorded in the contract.
