Senior Java Developer - Cape Town

Task and responsibilities:
We are looking r a Senior Java Developer. Main purpose:
•To oversee and manage a team of front and back-end developers.
•Provide services, including, assisting the development team as well as ensuring the application of the highest quality possible for any prospective client.
•Ensure that the clients specifications are met.
•Encourage and guide technical improvements.
•Positive team management and facilitation of services to the development team and clients.
•To oversee final sign-off on application deployment.
•Liaise with clients.
•Offer assistance to the HR.

Skills and experience:
Minimum Requirements:
•Bsc/ Bsc(Hons)/ Msc/ PhD
•A deep understanding of operating systems, data structures, and algorithms is necessary.
•At least 5 years core Java experience, (J2SE, J2EE)
•At least 3 years Linux
•At least 3 years experience with RDMS (MySQL/SQL Server/Oracle)
•Web services experience, (REST and SOAP)
•Someone who is passionate about build scalable solutions, writing systems while always thinking about efficiency. Someone who keeps up to date with the latest technologies available and how they can be applied in the back-end systems.
