The species come in a variety of colors, but
are usually black or charcoal gray, and almost always
solid.
A dog can only shed as much hair as they have, so
that makes the Mexican Hairless a non-shedding dog.
The coated variety sheds minimally
Grooming a Mexican Hairless is...you guessed it -
pretty minimal. Like you, these dogs do need
sunscreen in the summer, however, so don't forget the
SPF.
The species are alert barkers. As with any
dog, they can be discouraged from barking as
frequently with proper training and exercise
this species are best with older children, with
whom they can match their energy for play and also
guard them as though they're their own children.
As with any breed, it is recommended that your child
is always supervised when interacting with this dog
to keep both the child and dog safe.
