Fair Cape Dairies Save the Rhino Campaign
Many in South Africa feel a sense of helplessness when they hear of yet another rhino killed for its horn. The fact is that our country is home to close to 75% of the world’s rhino population, and 618 have already been killed this year, more and more people are wondering just what they can do to help.
September is World Rhino month, and in time for World Rhino Day on the 22nd, Fair Cape Dairies has partnered with the WWF to make it easy for anyone to help fight the scourge of rhino poaching.
WWF is spearheading its rhino awareness campaign with a Twitterstorm and are encouraging everyone to get radical for rhinos, and to follow the campaign using the hashtag #iam4rhinos.
“Fair Cape Dairies is getting behind this campaign in a big way,” said Louis Loubser, CMO of Fair Cape Dairies. “We have decided to donate 50c to the WWF for every specially-labelled pack of our strawberry, mango and banana limited edition Save the Rhino yoghurts sold.”
“We believe very strongly as a company that we have a responsibility to our environment. That means eliminating pollution in our production processes, and also contributing to initiatives like the WWF’s rhino campaign.”
Watch out for the rhino packs at your local supermarket. The specially-labelled packs will be on sale at all major retailers from September 22.
