Here is one story...
I recently fell victim to a sextortion scam. Someone claiming to be a woman I met online threatened to release private photos that I had shared in whatsapp unless I paid them R3000.
I initially panicked, but I eventually realized it was a scam. I refused to pay the ransom, and thankfully, I haven't heard from them since.
Please be cautious when sharing personal information or photos online.
