Why should we be your choice for your child?
The Angels Tutor Centre was founded in 2015 following the deaths of the two eldest sons of our founder, Mel De Jager. This trauma affected her youngest son in struggling emotionally, aside from being diagnosed ADD, thereby affecting other aspects of his progress. Having researched numerous establishments in search for solutions and having invested fifteen years at that stage in assisting children with ADD, ADHD, behavioral and emotional problems through (EAT) equine (horse), play assisted therapy and counseling, she decided to found the Angels Tutor Centre an alternative CAPS curriculum academy on a smallholding just outside Durbanville Hills, Western Cape, offering children smaller class ratios of no more than 5-10 children per grade where they benefit from personal attention, nurturing and love to work through their processes as they learn and grow.
We accommodate children who need a little more personal attention, understanding and guidance and who struggle in the large classes synonymous with mainstream schools and are perhaps ADD or ADHD. We offer the IMPAK curriculum in line with the CAPS curriculum, allowing children to return to mainstream schooling systems should the need or desire arise.
We are a dual medium learning academy.
